Life as a busy mum of three kids with a FIFO husband is no joke. Juggling school runs, swimming lessons , and working a truck driving job with a husband who’s away from home for 5 weeks at a time can be quite the challenge. But you know what was my saving grace? My trusty TM31 Thermomix.

I first bought my first Thermomix back in 2013 when I was a single mum of a 2-year-old. Cooking had never been my strong suit, especially since my ex-husband was a chef and did most of the cooking when he was home. But when he was away, I was left scrambling to put together quick and easy meals for my little one.

That’s when the TM31 came into my life and changed everything. With its all-in-one capabilities, I was able to whip up healthy and delicious meals in no time.

Fast forward 10 years and having another 2 children in quick succession and another Fifo husband I became so enamoured with my TM6 that I decided to become a consultant, spreading the word about how this miraculous machine could save time, money, and effort in the kitchen.
We are now traveling Australia in a caravan exploring this wide country with all the kids and Thermomix® in tow!!

But cooking isn’t the only thing I’m passionate about. I also run a sewing business on the side, where I alter, repair, and create custom items for my clients. Sewing has always been a hobby of mine, and being able to turn that passion into a business has been incredibly fulfilling.

Despite the chaos of my everyday life (particularly on the road) cooking, sewing, and crafting have always been my creative outlets. They allow me to unwind, relax, and express myself in ways that words just can’t capture. Whether I’m cooking up a storm in the kitchen or hunched over my sewing machine, these activities bring me a sense of peace and joy that I can’t find anywhere else.

So to all the busy mums out there, I say this: find what brings you joy and make time for it. Whether it’s cooking, crafting, or something entirely different, nurturing your passions is essential for your own well-being. And who knows, maybe one day you’ll find yourself as a consultant for a revolutionary kitchen appliance, sharing your love for cooking with the world. Life is unpredictable, but it’s also full of endless possibilities. Embrace them and see where they take you.
